My how time flies!

It's nearly the end of the month, and where has it gone? After Patrick's Birthday pulled off without a hitch, we found ourselves busy planning for Phish. Now we've been doing this for years, but now with Patrick, packing has become a challenge. Afterall, he is our first priority. MVG (Most Valuable Gear) goes to the high chair courtesy of Grandma!



This high chair rocked! You could attach it virtually anywhere, even sit it on a surface! It folded up compactly enough for us to pack it away with the rest of our gear. Patrick happily ate all of his meals here. It's really been a lifesaver.

Phish was spectacular! Two of the best shows I've seen in a long time. They are playing well and having fun, and boy is it magical! I can't wait to hear about fall dates and I hope they work into our schedule.

Of course, it wasn't all Phish and camping! We had plenty of time to swing at the playground near our campsite.



We also spent some time in Vermont at an old dear friend's house.


And here we are! At the end of August! I'm sad that it's come so fast. Patrick will be going back to daycare soon and I will be headed back to work.

One

I can't believe it's already been a year! When did this happen? Somewhere over the course of the last year, I've nurtured and grown quite a little man. Patrick is ONE! I found myself reminiscing today, as my labor ran it's course mostly over the duration of today. Patrick blessed us with an early arrival, but he certainly took his time making his way out into the world waiting til 2:21 am on the coolest date ever, 8/8/08!



He may not be walking just yet, but he's cruising the furniture, and playing with playmobils and laughing when I make the animals make noise. He's swimming in the pool, and not just in a floaty! He's eating some regular food. He's also still nursing. Yes, we've made it a year. A year ago, I wasn't sure how far we'd make it, but we did it!



I look at him today, and find it to be a bittersweet thing. That little precious baby is gone! I remember when I could sit and stare at him for hours and snuggle him to death. Now he just wants to move. He's turning into a toddler! A whole year behind us, just like that! But I also look forward to the future, and all the amazing things that two will bring.

I'm not sure where the time went, but I do know that I've got a great little man with an amazing personality! Here's to one year, little P! Your mama loves you so much!

Awaiting a chair



The table has comfortably settled into our dining room as you can see. Unfortunately, when we ordered our chairs, one of them came defective! We are awaiting shipment of the new one which should be here Tuesday. I'm sorry I didn't post a glorious shot before! We had no chairs!
