Happy New Year Folks!

Yeah, it's been a month..but when you find out certain unwantables have been prowling your blog, you tend to be a little sketched out...none the less, I've had nothing notable to write about..

well..until right now..

So today I learned a valuable lesson in photography...if you don't know, I recently got a Canon Rebel X2 digital SLR camera, for Christmas! It's official kids, I'm taking my pictures to a new level!

Anyway, there have been a handful of mornings in the last month where I've gone to work and the sun has just been spectacular as it rises..yup, if you didn't know, I leave when it's still dark out..kinda sad, no? None the less..I have missed all of those ocassions to capture the spectacular array of colors. On that note, I started to carry my camera with me most places..of course, the sunrise hasn't been nearly what I want it to be..

Well today, I didn't bring it with me. What should happen? It snows..a beautiful crisp snow that just rather covered everything. Everyone knows that this kind of snow doesn't hang around for long. Oh the textures and the shapes I could have caught this afternoon in the 1 hour pinch between school and workshop...the cute little bridge over the stream that I pass on my way home..but no..no, the camera was sitting at home..

What was I THINKING?! Lesson learned..
