Life in a Small Town

325 years. That would be how old Bordentown is this year. With that, comes quite a bit of celebration. We've had a reenactment in town, quite a few spirit walks, and most recently, yesterday, a parade! The highlight of the parade was the marching of the Budweiser Clydesdale horses. I'm not sure why these ended up being the highlight, but all weekend long, there was quite a bit of hoopla about these horses stopping in our little town. All 8 of them! Joe and I decided to curiously wander up to the Ford dealership yesterday where they were unloading the horses for the parade. That whole event turned out to be somewhat of a wash, but when they were in the parade, boy what a spectacular sight! They even travel with their own cleanup crew! Outside of the horses, there were marching bands and floats galore. It really is a lot of fun to be able to wander out of your front door and down the block for a parade celebration!

Next week is the annual cranberry festival! Does it ever end here in beautiful Bordentown?
